If you are starting your own Real Estate Company, you will have to BE your own broker.
Or you might want to purchase a Real Estate Franchise – like EXIT Realty, Coldwell Banker Burner, Century 21, Re/Max, etc.
You really shouldn’t try to start your own Real Estate Company without going through the broker education and licensing process anyway. You’ll need the legal knowledge .

Here in NM you can own a real estate company as long as you have a licensed qualifying broker for that company but you still can not practice real estate only the broker has that right.

You need a licensed broker to start a real estate company.
So if you aren’t a licensed broker you can partner with someone that is. Then you can work towards your brokers license, or your real estate license first before you can take the broker’s exam.
